Archiving stats: we hit 5000 tonight! Ira got 4000, so I was pretty determined to be the one to hit 5000, although she helped me get there. XD I'm wandering around in March 2006 right now, finding stuff like this (Vinceeent!) by

solitaryjane and going "Why did I not flail over that back then!"

Answer: I wanted to drop kick the entire FFVII fandom. XD

The 5000th bookmark was (SURPRISE!) an FFVII fic: Saturday Morning Philosophy (Reeve/Rufus), and while I shake my fist at the sheer numbers FFVII boasts to make it into the 1000 slots, at least it was a rare pairing (for the archive, anyway, not sure fandom wise!).

One thing that really ticked me off today: one of the FFX-2 pairing communities was just...deleted. Tons of fic and fanwork wiped off the internet because of stupid drama. I remember exactly what it was and all the ridiculous excuses and to this day I am irate. It's even more hypocritical considering that the owner's old LJ still works and all her fic is active, but the community had to be deleted OMG it was a matter of personal safety. alsdkf;wadsa;'skd

Never got into FFX or FFX2, but wiping an entire comm out just for drama is not cool. Comm aren't just for one person.

It's been a long time. But who is Zone? I remember Pupu, but... Zone? I feel like I should remember this. Clearly, I need to replay that game.

I have dozens and dozens of terrible FF8 fics. And I do mean terrible, no modesty implied. Any good ideas I had, I squashed through complete inexperience, ineptitude, clumsy writing, and cliche hell. But all these piles of crappy FF8 fic and even art prove one thing: I did love that game.

So, imho, there is no such thing as loving FF8 too much!
