writing project ahoy! (nonfiction for the win)

I actually survived my Spanish oral exam and I can now reward myself before diving back in to revise my Shakespeare paper. Oh my gosh, the home stretch, I am ridiculously excited. My reward is going back through my delicious network and subscriptions to see what I've missed. I AM SO BEHIND. ;_;

I also worked Black Friday and Saturday. It was actually okay: it went by quickly and it was nice to see everyone and I only had one mean customer. However, the new people didn't like me much. I think I am too strict for them? *g* ALSO: TIME FOR NEW SHOES.

Anyway, December is packed, but I am hoping to write lots during break! seventhe had the clever idea to create an elaborate, awesome meme, and I am going to try to take part in that from December 15th to mid-January, when I go back to school. There are rules, which I have altered to work for me.

Anyone can comment with a question to answer or a topic to write about. Any subject is fair game: fandom, media, politics, my personal life, whatever. (I do reserve the right to obfuscate a bit if the topic is one I wouldn't normally post about unlocked.) Feel free to ask for more than one topic.

I will put your question/topic on the list! Order will be up to me! IT WILL BE A GRAB BAG, or like, a surprise dentist visit.

Hello, almost 5am! LONG TIME NO SEE.

Meanwhile, visits to my mom's house are always physically draining. I have a lot of baggage associated with the town and the house (thanks to my father) and so it's like being sucker punched every time I go in the house. Staying the night is the worst—because we normally stay in my old room and my brain constantly expects him to open the door (without knocking) to badger or tease or rant—you could never tell. It's also so small for some reason, like I am a giant returning to a house I have memorized permanently as I saw it as a small child. It's very weird; all the light switches are too low!

Anyway, I never stay the night, which is why we drove back and arrived home at 3:30. Now I am having broth to comfort my ticklish throat (don't you dare, sinuses) and browsing comfort fic, and I made a meme to satisfy myself:

Trick or Treat 2009! and stuff

I am a newbie tag-wrangler for AO3 (I always want to write it AO³ but am too lazy to code it). \o/

I am pretty excited, but there's a lot to learn and read up on, so I'm glad I have two days off coming up (and I will probably try uploading some fic to my shiny new account on the archive! Shinies. >.>). They're also having their October donations drive right now. :D

everyone loves a writing project!

Internets! Remember how I used to ask for writing prompts? Remember how I cut that out when I started working because oh hey, I was terrible at following through? Remember how I started a writing project this month and have to churn something out every Wednesday, regardless of work being an assface, because I Suffer For My Art? Remember how everything I write is always, always over 2,000 words because I have no word ecomony and must write epics at all times?

I think we all see where this is going. Guidelines under the cut.
